Steamed Pumpkin Muffins

These steamed pumpkin muffins are the perfect fall treat — soft, moist, and full of cozy pumpkin flavor.

They’re vegan, oven-free, and so easy to make! Plus, you can decorate them with cute Halloween sprinkles to get into the spooky spirit! 👻

INGREDIENTS:

  • 150 g pumpkin purée (I used steamed Delica pumpkin — my favorite!)

  • 150 ml plant-based milk

  • 90 g granulated sugar

  • a pinch of salt

  • 250 g all-purpose flour

  • 12 g baking powder

  • 30 ml vegetable oil

  • optional: chocolate chips or Halloween sprinkles

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Mash the cooked pumpkin with a fork until smooth.

2.In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder. Set aside.

3.In another bowl, add the mashed pumpkin, sugar, salt, plant-based milk, and oil. Mix well until combined.

4.Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined — don’t overmix.

5.Spoon the batter into muffin cups.

💡 Tip: Use silicone muffin cups (alone or with paper ones) to help them keep their shape while steaming!

6.Place the muffin cups in the steamer basket and steam over medium-high heat for about 18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

7.Let them cool slightly, then decorate with Halloween sprinkles 👻

Soft, fluffy, and full of pumpkin goodness — these steamed muffins are such a fun and cozy treat for the Halloween season! 🎃
